Hi Eris:

New View (Acton MA) has had a steering committee forever (well, the
last 4 years of the development process, and the 12 years since we
moved here.). We create the proposed agendas for the monthly group
meetings, and we steer stuff to other committees whenever we can.
(finance, landscape, maintenance, common house, a newly-revived
process committee, 'nerdview' (the network folk, who only meet by
email..) and more, including temporary taskforces. The community is
very supportive of steering. We have between 5-9 folks in this group.
