A simple common-sense solution might be that the needs of those who
already live in the community take precedence over the needs of those
looking to join the community. It doesn't seem right or fair that an
established community member might be forced to leave because of the
needs of someone wanting to join. The people already there ARE the
community and anyone wanting to join must want to join those specific
people and their circumstances.

Rotten dilemma. There may be legal ramifications here. People with service animals are a protected class under the law. I think I'd want to talk to someone who understands the ADA and housing discrimination laws. It would be as wellfor the community to understand what her rights are, even if she isn't pushing them.My (possibly paranoid) suspicion is that the ADA would give priority to the needs of one service animal's owner over the needs of ten people with severeallergies.
