Community Solutions annual conference October 31-Nov. 2 (http:// 
www.plancconference.org/) has moved from Yellow Springs to Rochester  
Michigan this year.  This excellent conference has four strands:  
Energy, Housing, Transportation and Food.

"At this groundbreaking conference participants will explore  
strategies for reducing energy use in the areas of housing, food and  
transportation, including both theory and practice. We will examine  
the long energy decline of the 21st century, the psychological  
barriers to rapid change, and the challenge of persuading our  
communities to embrace local, low-energy living."

There is always a free display area.  I hope that mid-western Co- 
housing communities will have displays about their community and  
their community solutions to peak oil.   We will be staying at  
Sunward and look forward to spending time old and new friends at  
Sunward who are participating in the conference.
