Mosaic Common's gun policy and smoking policy are here http://www.mosaic-commons.org/guns and http://www.mosaic-commons.org/smoking respectively. We aren't actually LIVING there yet so who knows if these will turn out to be the RIGHT policies. - Diana At 06:25 PM 2/24/2009, Mary Vallier-Kaplan wrote:
In the Live Free or Die State where instead of income tax we promote vices in lieu of taxes, having guidelines or policies (an interesting question in itself) re: firearms or smoking for neighbors or guests we think may be wise. We all "think" our neighbors to date are nonsmokers and do not bear arms in the Yankee tradition however stranger things can happen. Is the privacy of one's own home and limited common area just that? Are the common house and common lands just that too and therefore can be regulated by the community? Does one have a designated smoking area like some companies still do to be accepting of all? And you might as well add consumption of alcohol to the list of questionable needed policies too! Think we'll take a pass on having a policy on sex! Your wisdom as always is appreciated.
