Hi all!How is it that in some communities workshare runs relatively smoothly while in others it's an onerous bone of contention w/ some people doing most of the work, others doing some and a few doing none?
Do "play or pay" systems work any better than volunteer systems? How do you get the work done in your community? At the upcoming conference on Sat., March 20th Cohousing: Growing Smart Communities, this is just one of the topics facing cohousing communities that will be discussed. There will be a formal workshop led by Kevin Oliveau, Catoctin Creek (play or pay system) and Brigitte Wazana Blueberry Hill (voluntary system).
AND there's this great opportunity for even more intensive discussion on effective workshare practices through the Free Form part of the conference. What effective workshare practices does your community have to offer? Where do you need help? This is the place to air needs and find effective solutions. Anyone can apply to convene a session in the Free Form part of the conference.
