Here are a couple of practical suggestions you may or may have thought of. Your group could give significant discounts to people who put their money in earlier. There is a cohousing in Pleasant Hills, CA that raised several million dollars by offering a good rate of interest to investors within and connected to their group ( friends, family,etc..). If you have trouble contacting anyone in the group who is knowledgeable about how they did it, you might contact Katie McCamant.There may be private investors with an interest in cohousing or greener living that might be interested.
