Diane and others -- Our community (Pleasant Hill Cohousing, San Francisco Bay Area) would be very interested in hearing about retreats as well. In our nine years of existence, we've never done a retreat, even though we have set aside funds for it. What might tip the balance in actually having one would be stories of what worked in other communities -- and what didn't. Could you pass along/post info? Thanks! We'd like to know something about the retreats that other communities do. So it would help if we heard from as many other communities as possible with answers to the followinng questions: Does your community do retreats? How often do you hold them? How long do they last? What is their purpose? How successful do you think they are? What do you do on your retreats? What does it cost? Is the cost borne by individuals or the community?
