Liz Walker is best known as the author of "Ecovillage at Ithaca" http://store.ic.org/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=77 (if you buy from this link, it benefits the Fellowship for Intentional Community) She will present the opening keynote address on Friday, June 17. Some of us met Liz at the 2006 National Cohousing Conference in Chapel Hill - since then, she has become much better known and has transcended the world of cohousing (Ecovillage at Ithaca hosts 2 cohousing communities and has a third under development). She is an excellent speaker and the Cohousing Association feels very fortunate to have "landed" this thought-leader to help Cohousers better understand how the "cluster concepts" of cohousing and ecovillages relate. Here's a link to the conference schedule information: http://conference.cohousing.org/2011/schedule We've not yet posted specific information on Liz or her talk to the conference website, but I've heard from the program team that her presentation will be incredible.
