This morning, Liz Walker of Ecovillage at Ithaca will give the featured presentation at the 2011 National Cohousing Conference in Washington, DC. This opening session starts at 8am EST, but its not too late to come be a part of history, as the Cohousing movement comes together to celebrate, connect, and collaborate as we create the future of cohousing in the United States. After the opening session, some people will hop onto a bus to visit some local cohousing communities, while most will go to one or more of the 25 breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon. We'll end the day with the keynote address by Ross Chapin, author of Pocket Neighborhoods and the visionary architect behind the Cottage Company which has created numerous cohousing-like communities all over the Pacific Northwest. Immediately after Ross' presentation, we'll have a social hour with a book signing by: Liz Walker Ross Chapin Katie McCamant - who presents at the Saturday morning opening Chuck Durrett - who presents at the Sunday closing Your options for participating are fully spelled out here: http://conference.cohousing.org/2011/register In a nutshell, you can register for Friday-only for $230 or for the full 3-days for $450 (FYI: some who applied for work-trade scholarships early were able to attend for as little as $75) Hope to see you there and hear from you as you join our international conversation!
