to add to what Eris said: Finding improved ways to get along/resolve  
conflict peacefully, even regarding supposedly mundane
issues is so very important to creating a better world.
It's amazing to me, as an activist, how often people with great views  
on the larger issues are totally
not able to engage in honest give and take on anything...  Cohousing  
gives us all a chance to learn
how to communicate better and work more effectively with others, and  
these lessons are applicable everywhere.
