We've been wanting to do this for a while, and with an existing
community's open house and forming-group lunch timed just right, we
have the late-breaking opportunity this Sunday to Go South (and West)
from Berkeley to see some established and forming cohousing
neighborhoods.

So skip the stores crowded with last-minute shoppers and join me for a
carpool tour of cohousing communities on the Peninsula, Silicon
Valley, and Santa Cruz area, including some of the following
activities:

* A Solstice Party and open house at a 2BR home for sale in New
Brighton Cohousing by the beach in Aptos (nextdoor to Santa Cruz).

* A vegan lunch in downtown San Jose (at Good Karma kitchen) with
cohousing organizers seeking and co-creating sustainable communities
in Silicon Valley.

* A visit with the chickens and cohousers living at San Mateo EcoVillage.

* A site visit and perhaps drinks with someone from Walnut Commons, a
forming intergenerational cohousing community in downtown Santa Cruz.

* A walk along the beach or boardwalk.

* A drive by the recently-approved-to-build downtown site of Mountain
View Cohousing, and up to 2 other established communities.
