This morning, the U S House of Representatives, ostensibly 435 members representing 50 individual states, the distinct constituencies of 435 separate House Districts, and hopefully, the best interests of all citizens and residents of the entire 310+/- million population of this magnificent nation, all approved a significant legislative bill by unaminous consent, either by affirmation or absence or abstention. I didn't count the vote. This is an opportunity for every cohousing member to write a personal letter (or e-mail if you no longer have stamps in your budget) to their own House Representative and congratulate them for their effort and achievement. It is also a prime opportunity to point out that your community seeks to do this for every decision and action on a committed communitarian basis and encourage them to do likewise. Then move forward to lobby for whatever else your political soul inclines you to do. Cheers, best wishes, and fond hopes for the most wonderful holiday season of the year, Tom Lofft Liberty Village, MD
