"I'm not clear from your description if people who cook for the smaller group have the option to withdraw from their group cooking duties." Unfortunately, Jamaica Plain Cohousing doesn't have any regular group cooking duties. As a founding household it's one of my biggest regrets - that we didn't set this up as an expectation for the community before moving in. Now, after close to 7 years of living together, it's still not something we've been able to get going. We get some cooking teams that will take on once-per-month duties but then they just stop for some reason. Lately we've had a robust "Monday night Foodball" team that was weekly (wonderful!) but they too seem to have burned out and are in need of replacements. When a meal does get scheduled, we have no shortage of eaters! I love my neighbors, they just don't like to cook for the group. Patti
