For what it is worth,  according to feng shui and other design patterns, diners 
tend to linger longer at rectangular tables as opposed to round tables.  Put 
another way, if you are managing a busy restaurant, round tables will keep the 
customers moving -- eating and getting out quickly  -- and profits rising.
