This reminds me that we ALSO have "uncommon lunches" on tuesdays and thursdays. 
Bring your own food, and dishes, and then bring it all home to wash.

Very simple, reaches 0-8 folk, and is often 3 or 4 of us.

Also occasional "bring your own" meals.
