LIVE-IN CAREGIVER NEEDED IN AMHERST COHOUSING COMMUNITY

 

Seeking Live-in House and Care Manager/Companion (female) for elderly woman
in Amherst area. Initial start-up responsibilities include full-time
(24hours/day) as we incorporatate a day-time staff so that this will
primarily be a 12 hour night shift. Personal assistance, medications
administration, routine house maintenance, laundry, food shopping and meal
preparation. Client is quiet, frail, with excellent hearing, some dementia,
ambulatory, self-sufficient in most personal care --needs regular
monitoring.  Family seeks strong, responsible, quiet, respectful female with
experience in elder care. Client lives in a close-knit community of
supportive neighbors and friends. Primary tasks include: meal preparation
and shopping, timely medications administration and medications pick-up,
overnight presence, home management including light routine cleaning,
laundry, serving as coordinator and liaison with family, and other medical
and daytime staff. Hospice may have a presence in the home. One weekend day
or night off negotiable at time of hire. Compensation: Initial start up
full-time position is paid $2000+/month plus free housing (own floor which
includes two rooms, own bath, free internet, laundry, parking).  Night
position only is $1000/month plus free housing.  Finalist will be screened
and CORI-checked by a local state agency before offer can be made.  If
