The OP from Belfast specified that they will not have any gas in the community... despite any of our preferences. Electric convection ovens are efficient. The large stand alone one at RoseWind Cohousing was very effective, six or more LARGE trays could go in at once. That would free you to use a large induction cooktop, which is also very efficient. Any retailer can tell you which cookware works with induction. An outdoor wood oven would keep the heat outside in the summer, and give more options to the cooks.
