Well let's see how things look five years out. Things aren't "done" yet. The houses are all built but not all sold. The loan has not been paid but the personal guaranties have not called yet. Confidential negotiations between lenders and our guarantors are still ongoing. Only time will tell whether we "worked it out without bogging down in excruciatingly precise accountings." And at what cost: financial, emotional, and to our community's health. I'm only reporting what happened so far, and in no way suggesting that our way was best.
