Susan: If you mean washing down surfaces with soup and water, vacuuming, getting cobwebs off the ceiling, dusting the window sills--yes, that type of cleaning is put on a workday list. BUT what parents in our community do, is take weekly tuns tidying up the childrens' rooms. No other space, in or outside, needs this type of attention. Hence the singling out.
