My unit had a 24" unit that I needed to replace so I ordered another 24" unit and installers found they could not do it without removing my counter top and the hardwood floor and then putting that all back in. I didn't want to pay for that expense so got an 18" one and I do not like it at all. It cost more than the 24" one and I find it so cramped. I can fit most of the plates and bowls for a day but no pots or other types of dishes. We are a family of three. Our community has common meals twice a week. If I was only 1 person in the household, I probably would say it was ok, but if I have friends over for dinner or anything more than us 3, I have to hand wash dishes that didn't fit in the dishwasher or else run another load.
