...about the possibility of a new cohousing community in Takoma Park,
Maryland?

IMAGINE . an energy-efficient, green and sustainable community walking
distance to the Takoma Red Line metro .

. affordable .

. diverse .

. urban .

IMAGINE . being a part of bringing this new possibility to life .

Cool.

EcoHousing Corporation, developer of Takoma Village in Washington, DC and
Eastern Village, in Silver Spring, Maryland is proposing a new cohousing
community on a site owned by The City of Takoma Park, Maryland.

The City is currently soliciting proposals for developing the surface
parking lot located to the west of the Takoma Park-Silver Spring Coop.

EcoHousing, one of several developers submitting proposals for the site,
envisions a mixed-use development consisting of commercial/retail on the
ground floor with 36-40 units of cohousing on the 3rd and 4th floors. As
with its first two cohousing communities, the building will be
energy-efficient, green, and sustainable. The site is walkable to the Takoma
Red Line metro along with frequent Ride-On bus service. And, of course, the
biggest draw: it's cohousing in funky, nuclear-free zone, "Azalea City"
Takoma Park!

The developers, Don Tucker and Bruce Levin, are interested in meeting you
and finding out if there is a viable contingent of folks who want to live in
cohousing at this location.
