Hi, Cohousers,

A 2-bedroom upstairs unit here at Yulupa Cohousing in Santa Rosa, CA,
was recently foreclosed, and is now bank-owned. Apparently, they plan
to try to sell it by online auction which is scheduled for Sept 8 -
10. The information we have is below. Please let me know if you or
someone you know is going to bid on it, as some of our members may
otherwise bid on it to keep it from going to speculators. If that
happens those members would then market it selectively, only to people
truly interested in cohousing and community participation. They will
want to sell for something more than they pay for it to at least cover
costs, so it would be better if a good prospective cohousing member
could just buy it directly via the auction.

This is what we've been told about the auction:

The website:

santa%20rosa,%20ca%2095405&lat=38.43922999999999&lng=-122.66730180000002&type=

Or just enter http://www.hudsonandmarshall.com,
and enter the zip code 95405.

Nick, the real estate agent, gave an estimate of $250,000. That may,
or may not, be accurate.

The auction is set for September 8 – 10.

You can do a "pre-auction" bid, We don't know if that person would get
the unit if the he/she made a pre-auction bid.

This is from Nick about making a bid:
A real estate agency disclosure and residential purchase agreement
need to be drawn, initialed and signed. A pre-approval letter or
proof of funds and an earnest money deposit check is also required. We
won't know until the auction company sets the terms.

That's it for now.
