Hi Dane --

You might want to take a look at Golden Gate Cohousing <http://www.meetup.com/ebcoho/pages/Golden_Gate_Cohousing/> about 100 miles away from you in Oakland. It is "a project of the Parker Street Foundation, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote affordable housing and effective community." They have a 100% rental model where residents rent their units from a non-profit.

Best,

I've seen it mentioned on this group that cohousing communities are
generally comparable in cost to conventional housing.

Can any of you give examples of cohousing communities that make
affordability/low-cost living a primary goal of the community?

Thanks,
