The program exposes the visitors to best practices in residential energy efficiency, effective public-private partnerships and challenges of democratic institutions. It also forges connections between Maryland and Kazakhstan.Liberty Village is a community of private houses developed by its residents to provide neighborly living for all ages. Homes are built for energy efficiency, and the community emphasizes cooperation and eco-friendly practices.The village's communal bent impressed several of the Kazakhstanis.
