Evernote does not seem designed for this to me at all. Shared notes appear only in an area called "Chat". Collaborative editing support is also limited. Evernote seems mostly designed as a personal note system with some sharing features tacked on, not a collaborative tool. Have you tried Google Drive/Docs? We use it and it's great. There is really nothing that compares to it on the market IMO.
