Hi All,

Awhile ago I asked the list about renting a room in the house I will be 
buying in my forming community. I have lived in shared housing before 
and enjoyed it. People on this list were very positive in their response.

But I checked around to see what the typical rent for a room in our area 
would be and it wasn't enough to cover the mortgage for buying a larger 
unit. However, someone said to me that you could charge a higher rent 
for a room in a cohousing community. Do you think that is true and how 
much more would be typical?
