It might help to clarify a couple of things.First, what does "identifying as a co-op" mean? Is there a registered cooperative on title on the property, or are the occupants just referring to themselves as a "co-op"? Is it a group of people that own the unit?
Also, what is the ownership structure of the community? Most cohousing in N America is strata titled, like a condominium, but other structures are possible and would determine how the individual units are owned. The whole community could be a co-op, for instance.

Hi, Does anyone have specific experience with a physical house/unit identifying as a co-op *within* your cohousing community? I would love to chat with someone living *in* a co-op *in* a cohousing community. Thanks, Karin
