A furnished home in the Puget Ridge (Seattle) Cohousing community (
http://pugetridge.net ) will be available for a six to eight month rental
starting in Jan or Feb 2018 while we will be taking an extended trip. The
rental is $2300 per month including all utilities. We are looking for
people interested in living in cohousing and participating in community
activities while living here.

Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1300 sq. ft. town house is situated in a park-like
setting in urban Seattle about 20 minutes from the city center by bus or
car. Both floors of the house have excellent natural light; the downstairs
is an open plan with the dining room open to the kitchen, and living room
open to the dining area. The French doors in the living room open to a TV
room with couch that folds out into a queen sized bed. The small but
well-designed and well equipped kitchen has a modern gas range, dishwasher
and microwave oven. Upstairs is a large master bedroom, large bathroom with
a deep tub and shower, a second bedroom with a queen size bed, and an
office with two desks/work stations, Ethernet, and printer. WiFi is
available throughout the house; a washer and dryer are shared with
downstairs neighbors and located on a lower level. There is a small private
deck off the living room with table and chairs and a lovely grape arbor to
sit and enjoy the morning sun with breakfast, a small patio for afternoon
sun, and a side courtyard with a dining table and gas grill. Our adult son
and his partner will be living in the downstairs basement apartment.

The house is located in an intentional community, Puget Ridge Cohousing
built in 1994, where people know their neighbors and collaboratively manage
and maintain the community. The town houses on the beautifully landscaped
2½ acre site face each other across paths and courtyards; there are no cars
on the site, and multiple outside play areas. The community consists of 25
households, with people of all ages, including children and young adults.
We have a shared Common House which has a large kitchen and dining area for
community meals and events, a meeting space, laundry, play area and well
equipped shop. You will be warmly welcomed by community members, and
invited to participate in meals, work parties, and other activities.

Puget Ridge Cohousing is located in West Seattle, a large area that
encompasses about 20% of the city. It is one block from a bus stop with
buses that run to downtown Seattle and other parts of West Seattle, and a
ten minute walk to a stop with more frequent buses. Shopping is about 10
minutes away by car or by bus, or a 30 minute walk. Our home is about three
miles from Lincoln Park, a beautiful city park with a beach and old growth
forest looking out over Puget Sound and the best Olympic Mountain views in
Seattle.
