What about protocols and decision-making in an emergency? Seems like it would be helpful to decide this in advance, so during an emergency there aren't discussions about what to prioritize, etc. For example, has the community agreed on what will be powered by the generator? If the Common House will be heated during a blizzard that knocks out power, can the pets come in? Should someone or a team be empowered to make decisions, and everyone agree that they will follow their instructions? If there's a mandatory evacuation, is there anything in the Common House that needs to be grabbed and if so, who does it? Have any communities actually experienced a lengthy power outage or other emergency, and if so, what decisions needed to be made? Any written protocols that could be shared?
