If a bunch of homeowners start doing it, keep your mouths shut when the zoning 
cops come knocking. Roommates are one thing, but basement apartments and pods 
are another. The one thing that triggers code violations are building permit 
applications for a second 220volt service in the same dwelling unit.

But if the owner is in residence, it doesn’t count as not-owner occupied. Which 
is another reason to have the pods clustered and owned by one person who lives 
there.
