Check with the legality of capturing wastewater. In most/many political 
jurisdictions, water, after it comes out of the faucet and goes down the drain, 
is flushed, sprinkled on the lawn belongs to somebody else downstream. Colorado 
just legalized rain barrels in certain circumstances.
