Great Lakes Regional Cohousing Gathering Sun Oct 6, nr Milwaukee Urban cohousing currently exists across the Great Lakes region in various stages of development, from those in the forming stages such as Prairie Moon CoHousing (Woodstock, Illinois) and Milwaukee Area Cohousing (Milwaukee Wisconsin) to the established Village CoHousing Community and Arboretum Cohousing (both in Madison, Wisconsin). An informal regional meeting is being planned so that interested urban cohousing groups in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin may: o Introduce their group o Explain their stage of development o Share their past successes o Discuss their current challenges o Identify ways to collaborate Also invited are cohousing service professionals interested in making connections with representatives from these cohousing groups. While this gathering is not intended as an introduction to or general discussion of cohousing, others seriously interested in cohousing are welcome to attend. Date: Sunday, October 6, 2019 Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Location: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel 18155 W. Bluemound Road Brookfield, WI 53045 (Milwaukee metro area) 262-792-1212 (At your own expense, lodging is available at the special rate of $99/night if you mention our group name.) Please email hh.prairiemooncoho [at] gmail.com if you will be attending, and identify yourself, your group name (or other affiliation), and the number of individuals coming. In the spirit of collaboration, this gathering will be what the attendees make of it. Presentations and introductions should not exceed 15 minutes in length. A voluntary contribution from each attendee of $10 upon arrival will help defray refreshment and conference room expenses. PS from Fred. I'm posting this on behalf of the organizers of the meeting. It comes from a mailing to contacts they could identify in the area. Contact others in your region. Consider carpooling. Fred -- Fred H.
