We're delighted to report that member communities here on the East side of the San Francisco Bay Area are going forward with outreach events in new safe ways as we collectively work to help everybody stay safe in the age of COVID-19. Instead of in-person tours and open houses, groups are going virtual, with the added benefit that folks from all over can participate, without any travel time, cost or risk. Pleasant Hill cohousing has been reliably holding monthly open houses the first Sunday of the month for decades, since moving in. Now, they are hosting them on Zoom, with a video tour created for National Cohousing Open House Day, followed by discussion. There's one at 1:30 PM (PDT) this afternoon. Phoenix Commons, the East Bay's first senior cohousing neighborhood, is doing a similar gathering at 1 PM today. The Oakland community is encouraging folks to view a video tour in advance, and then come to get to meet members and get questions answered. Learn more, get advance notice of future tours, and RSVP for both via the East Bay Cohousing section of the Cohousing California website events calendar: https://www.calcoho.org/east_bay_cohousing_events We look forward to seeing you there. Note that advance RSVP is required to get the Zoom links emailed, so don't wait til the last minute to sign up Raines Cohen, Cohousing Coach East Bay Cohousing / Cohousing California happy to be back home at Berkeley (CA) Cohousing, after "sheltering out-of-place" since March with family near Boston, and 3 weeks getting home on the road visiting and researching communities
