I do appreciate that this question has been asked
The fact that this is not standard practice with contractors of any
description took me a long time to get used to when I first arrived
in the country.
I'm originally from New Zealand.
Scones with jam and whipped cream at 10am would be standard fare.
And It would not be unusual there to provide a couple of boxes of beer at
4pm on a Friday afternoon... (a pallet if it's a larger job with many
contractors). :)
