Hello all!

By now you know, the Cohousing Association of the US (CohoUS) is sponsoring
National Cohousing Open House Day this Saturday, April 24, 2021 3pm-5pm EDST.

Two Mid Atlantic Cohousing (MAC) member communities are offering virtual tours
of their communities: Juniper Commons in Harrisonburg, Virginia and Shepherd
Village, in Sherpherdstown, West Virginia. You can sign up for their virtual
tours here:

https://www.meetup.com/Washington-DC-Area-Cohousing/

The Doctor is IN! Meet "DOCTOR COHOUSING!" is a Q&A session w/ three members
of the Board of Directors of Mid Atlantic Cohousing (MAC). We support the good
work of CohoUS, the regional cohousing communities and groups in Mid Atlantic
Cohousing. This event is geared to those folks who are Beginning, Building or
have Built a cohousing community. Inquirers, seekers, the curious ... old
hands, new hands ... all are welcome.

Mid Atlantic Cohousing (MAC), our regional non-profit group, is offering this
opportunity to have your questions, suggestions, ruminations answered by
experts in the field. To wit, MAC invites you -- no matter where you live -- to
meet the one and only:

DR. COHOUSING!

Our panel of THREE COHOUSING DOCTORS will happily answer your questions on
anything and everything cohousing:

What are the benefits of living in community?
How do I start a group?
How much does it cost to build a cohousing community?
How long does it take to build a cohousing community?
Do I have to share a bathroom or a kitchen?
What happens if you don't like one of your neighbors?
Are pets allowed?
Can I sell my cohousing home when I want to?
Where can I find cohousing communities?

Join our 2-hour Zoom event where we will endeavor to answer all your questions.
Come at the top of the hour -- 3:00 p.m. -- to hear a special presentation by
Daisy on "Current & Future Faces of Cohousing" with a brief history of the
different names "cohousing" has had in history (self-organized, independent
homes with shared spaces, Block-housing in Chicago, La Pueblo, Tradition of
LGBTQ "cohousing”).

Register at Zoom.us:

event. This link is specific to YOU and YOU alone. Don’t lose it. Suggest

With all those questions above and your questions at hand, Tom, Ann and Daisy
will address all things cohousing including but not limited to development

mortar buildings.

Please join us for this fun event!
