I wasn’t Trump’s unwise import taxes — it started with the big recession in housing when the demand for new housing was flat and 30+ mills when out of business. Other disasters destroyed forests and planting was scaled back because there was no demand. The prediction was another recession in lumber during COVID but the opposite happened. Demand shot up.
