I see background checks have come up. I agree they are misleading and give
a false sense of safety.  In our community, a member became worried if this
could happen and we made a presentation together to discuss child sexual
abuse prevention. Since then, I started a group that meets quarterly with
other intentional community members on how to help other communties too and
expanded it to any sexual abuse (other places have had issues with adult on
adult).
I don't think we can have attachments here so let me know if you want me to
send you the slide show to present to your community. Also let me know if
you want to join our group - our next zoom meeting is in March.
