Brenda, I suggest you join in with the Cohousing Car Share interest group
started by Janet Murphy.  They have a number of resources offered by car
sharing groups within cohousing communities.  They are having a meeting on
Saturday, March 12th.  Please contact Janet and Morgan Frost, at
janetmusicrn [at] gmail.com and frostm [at] seattleu.edu for info on how to
participate.

I've heard people in the group mention that they use Google calendars for
scheduling the cars.  Our own group is planning to use Gather, the software
package developed by Cohousers, for Cohousers.  There are also options to
use a provider's package, if you use a commercial car-sharing service.
Other than that, the Lancaster UK community's system is probably the most
robust app, as it's custom-designed for this purpose.  You'd need to talk
to them directly if you're thinking of going down that route.  But be sure
to join the group started by Janet (above), so you can further share what
you eventually decide to do with others who are interested in the same
questions!
