Our intentional townhome community, Lake Claire Co-housing, has a 3 bedroom
1.5 bath, 3 story townhome for rent for $2400/month + utilities (HOA fee
included), available beginning to mid-July. 256 Connecticut Ave NE.

If you like the idea of living in community, check us out! We have the
privacy of our own 13 homes, mixed with shared courtyards and a shared
clubhouse, where we check our mail, gather twice a week for shared
(optional) meals, and host events like birthday parties and dinner parties.
Also, we are all vaccinated (kids too).

The home consists of an open living/dining room, full kitchen, and half
bathroom on the main floor, two bedrooms, washer/dryer, and a full bathroom
on the second floor, and an attic bedroom on the top floor. Floors are
wood, tile, and carpet. Central heat and air.

Ideal tenants would be very receptive to actively participating in the
community and sharing in our community spirit. Adult tenants would also be
expected to contribute the required seven hours a month towards community
upkeep (cleaning common areas, maintaining the garden, landscaping, cooking
or cleaning up after community meals, or doing some other
chore/contribution). You can read more about our cohousing here:
https://www.lakeclairecohousing.org/

We're next to the Lake Claire Land Trust, which includes a large community
garden with a huge sand play area, amphitheater, wooded area, an Emu and
ducks, a pond with turtles, etc. (
https://business.facebook.com/lcclandtrust/) Candler Park restaurants and
Lake Claire playground are a 10 minute walk in either direction. Convenient
to bike lanes on Mclendon, Hosea Williams, Freedom Park, and PATH. Easy
surface street commute to most all of NE and Downtown Atlanta. 15-minute
walk to Edgewood/Candler Park MARTA. 10 minute drive to I-20. Zoned for
Mary Lin Elementary, David T. Howard Middle, and Midtown High.

12 month lease. Small dogs okay, no aggressive breeds. No cats. No smoking.
Applicants will be asked to perform a credit/background check.

Please contact Sara Greene at sarazuk [at] yahoo.com and let me know if you have
any questions or would like to come by and meet some of us to see what you
think, before deciding if you want to apply. (And before you commit to
living here, you will get the chance to meet all/most of us, join us for a
meal, etc.!)
