We hold an annual Community Thanksgiving, usually the weekend before the US
Holiday. It's a coordinated potluck. The community pays for the turkeys
and everyone else brings their dishes. We start with drinks and appetizers
and almost always live music (we have some talented musicians in our
group). During dessert, our community life committee usually organizes an
activity. For example, they hand out colored maple leaf cut-outs and folks
are asked to write on the leaves thoughts about gratitude and living in
cohousing. These leaves then get assembled on a large maple tree poster and
displayed in the foyer. It's a lovely holiday and most people dress up
and bring their favorite traditional dishes.

Feeling very grateful!
