Loved the article … one proof of the universality of the principles of 
collaborative communities:

connection
consideration
commitment
vision
relationship
sharing
caring

One thing I noted in the article is that it seems it took 12 years for the 
project to work its way through the bureaucracy so they could build.  

"Twelve years of bureaucratic struggles later, those young single couples are 
young families.”

Sounds a lot how building in the US can go ...
