The difference between sociocracy and consensus is that sociocracy is a whole
system of organization based on consensus decision-making.

Consensus alone, or full group consensus, is only a decision-making process in
which the full group makes decisions.

Some people have put full group consensus together with parts of parliamentary
procedure or other systems of organization, but sociocracy is a complete system
based on consensus. It helps organize the group's day-to-day operations as well
as decision-making.

Consensus is specifically defined as “no objections” in sociocracy.
