There’s one article (or podcast) after another these days that mentions the
“loneliness epidemic” ... that recognizes the problematic trends toward
social isolation and the atomization of life. More and more of the articles
show awareness about the need for revitalization of community life -- and,
specifically, cohousing -- as a solution.

I believe a critical mass of such awareness will eventually, hopefully
soon, lead to a blossoming of our movement. We already see in Europe some
governmental fostering of cohousing. In the United States we need that and
a legion of cohousing developers.

There is still not a single cohousing community in the entire
NYC-NJ-Philadelphia metropolitan area of 20 million people. Where I live.
