Our 3-bedroom, 1&1/2-bathroom, 2-story condo is 1293-square feet, fully
furnished, has a well-equipped kitchen, opens to a shared community lawn,
and is right next to the pool and hot tub area (an essential in Pleasant
Hill summers!). Downstairs are the kitchen, dining room, living room, and
1/2-bathroom.  Upstairs has the 3 bedrooms (one functioning as an at-home
office) and full bathroom.

The main bedroom has a queen-size bed.  The 2nd bedroom is a kids' room; it
has a bunk-bed (top - twin, bottom - full). The 3rd bedroom is furnished as
a spacious office, ideal for working from home with a desk overlooking the
community and two large screens to connect to your computer.

Pets: We have two indoor-outdoor cats and one hamster! Renters will be
asked to sign a written lease and assist with minor pet care.

Living at Pleasant Hill Cohousing (PHCH) offers a rare opportunity to be
part of a multigenerational, supportive community while enjoying the
privacy of your own home.  PHCH was founded in 1997 and continues as a
collaborative, sustainable community, where residents strive to know and
help their neighbors and live lightly on the earth! We have solar panels,
EV charging stations, chickens, a garden, fruit trees, a common house (with
a large kitchen, two guest rooms, dining room, laundry room, children's
play room), a fully furnished workshop, an outdoor children’s play
structure, BBQ grills, table tennis, and a pool & hot tub. We gather in the
common house at least 2 times a week for optional common meals and social
events. We spend time together outside during monthly work parties, and on
informal walks on the trail or to nearby parks.

Neighborhood:  PHCH is located in Pleasant Hill, CA, 0.5-1 mile away from
grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and movie theaters. We are
situated right in between a privately accessed Canal Trail, maintained by
the Contra Costa Water District, and the Iron Horse Trail (a direct 1.3
mile walk to downtown Pleasant Hill and the nearest BART station = Bay Area
Rapid Transit, the Bay Area's heavy rail system). One of my favorite things
about Pleasant Hill is its proximity to so many different things: We are
less than an hour away from beaches, redwood forests, Mount Diablo State
Park, and (in good traffic) Oakland & San Francisco!

The Ideal Renter:  Will be a vaccinated, boosted, non-smoker(s). This is a
very kid-friendly home, so parents with children are welcome! We would
especially welcome someone (an individual, couple, or parents/children) who
is/are familiar with living in community and/or interested in exploring
cohousing.  To get the most benefit from living in community, renters may
participate in community meals, work parties, and other events.  Sorry, but
no additional pets.

Future Rental Opportunity: We have family in WA and often travel north once
in the summer (2-4 weeks) and once in the winter (1-2 weeks). Please feel
