best flooring for Common House?

I have Marmoleum at home in kitchen and bathroom, and in commonhouse kitchen.  
It’s comfy underfoot, forgiving of dropped dishes. Scrub and polish a few times 
a year, damp mop more frequently.  The softness is also a drawback: it nicks 
(like if something very heavy is dropped on it) and corrodes (dissolves into 
goo) when exposed to dishwasher chemicals or other strong cleaning fluids.

Good for a kid room or small meeting room.

Another good Forbo product is their bulletin board material. In steady use for 
24 years and almost as good as new, in commonhouse.
