When considering whether something needs to be in your CC&Rs, also read you 
local laws. If something is against code, then you could add a statement about 
complying with the law. You probably don’t need that statement because your 
permit to exist is probably subject to the law. But including it reminds people 
that the laws of the land also apply to your community.

Consulting local laws allowed us to adopt a pet policy after years of 
argumentation, for example.
