Hi fellow cohousing and other intentional community residents,, Here at Jackson Place Cohousing in Seattle, Washington we are working on our 2025 budget. In addition to budgeting for utilities, here in Washington State, we are required to have a reserve fund to save for upcoming and future maintenance and replacement of the elements owned by our condo. But the law does not require a specific amount or percentage of funding of the reserve savings. So some residents are wondering how other cohousing and intentional communities handle their reserves. To help our discussions, we would appreciate it if you could let us know what your community's reserve funding level is. Thanks in advance for whatever you can tell me. Cohousingly, Sylvie Sylvie Kashdan Community Outreach Liaison Jackson Place Cohousing 800 Hiawatha Place South Seattle, WA 98144 https://jacksonplacecohousing.org info [at] jacksonplacecohousing.org
