National Cohousing Week:Beware scammers and always dial direct at cohousing.org

Hi folks.

It has come to my attention that some scammer is emailing cohousing
neighborhoods with an offer to get a mailing list of participants in
National Cohousing Week. I just got such an offer myself.

I just want to make sure all communities know:

* There is no such list
* The person sending the solicitation is a scammer with no affiliation with
the National Cohousing Association

There is one and only one place to go to see what communities are offering
events, both virtual and in person, and to list your event.

That is on the National Cohousing Week and Open House 2025 page:
https://www.cohousing.org/open-house-2025/

I look forward to seeing you there. Bookmark it so you can keep coming
back, as the list is growing as groups plan and details emerge over the
next six weeks.

Extra secret tip for loyal Cohousing-L readers: If you get your community
event listed this month, we may have some special bonuses and opportunity
for exposure for your community. And if you have questions about how to put
one on, beyond the resource kit linked on that page, we are happy to
provide personalized assistance, especially for communities working
together to coordinate and jointly market in a region (nudge, nudge).

(Reminding myself to go there and list events I'm helping co-create,
including a kick-off bagel breakfast in my own community, an (un)common
meal "cohousing experience" cooked-together dinner in a Common House, and a
bus tour of DC area cohousing.)
