We’re curious about how other communities describe and deal with people who are not residents/owners yet want to be involved for whatever reason. Perhaps to be part of a “waiting list”. Perhaps just to support the concept of Cohousing. Perhaps to access the public spaces and facilities. We call these people “participating members” and they pay a nominal monthly fee and are expected to be involved in committees, grounds work, some meals, and participate as non-voting members in monthly HOA meetings. We are trying to develop a policy out of what has evolved over time as tradition. We’d love to hear your experience and thoughts. Roger Cunningham Cantine’s Island Cohousing HOA Saugerties NY
