Here at Nevada City Cohousing, we also do not have any vaccination policy. We 
agreed early on in the pandemic to share out on the community email if you had 
been exposed or have covid. And people really did share. We had many community 
discussions during that covid time, often in lawn chairs 6 ft apart in our 
neighborhood pods, trying to figure out what would be the best practices for 
our community. Ultimately, we tried to follow the recommendations of our local 
health department (Yea for public health care workers!!!).

One of my neighbors said it well.. something along the lines of “we are seeking 
the best way to accommodate a wide range of needs and perspectives that serves 
all of our community.” I think this is one of those places where the rubber 
meets the road on trying to encourage diversity.

All in all, we got thru the pandemic pretty well. A good place to be in a crazy 
world.
